With Car: Sondalo be reached from Milan via Lecco along the SS 36 to Colico and then continue along the SS 38 towards Sondrio.
The distance between Milan and Sondalo is about 180 km and the journey time is around 2 hours and 30.
In summer you can reach Sondalo through the Stelvio Pass, which connects the Alto Adige and Lombardy, or through the Gavia Pass, which links the provinces of Sondrio and Brescia.
With Train: By train the nearest station is to Tirano (around 15 km from Sondalo).
Links to Milan Central Station and Garibaldi Station, many are found each day and connecting with buses to Sondalo-Perego Bolladore.
With Airplane: For those who choose to travel by plane the nearest airports are Milan (Malpensa and Linate), Bergamo (Orio al Serio), Innsbruck, Zurich.
The only port that allows you to easily related Sondalo is Milan.
From both airports, Linate and Malpensa, there is a shuttle service to the central station, from where many trains each day in Valtellina.
With Bus: During high season the bus Perego provide a direct link service-Milan-Sondalo Bormio.
More generally, year-round bus service covering trafficking Sondrio-Tirano-Sondalo and vice versa.
With Taxi: There are also several means: by car in 4, 5, 6 seats to 50 seats buses and helicopters.
With Bike: Mountain bikes, racing bikes, motorcycles, Sondalo can reach anywhere you want, from the streets of the valley or mountain trails, provided that there be discouraged in the face of traffic and weather, naturally excluding the Stelvio Pass, Gavia or Mortirolo winter!
Warning: The Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo found at high altitudes and are open only during summer season, during which sudden snowfalls are not uncommon.
